I am dedicated to try all the best doughnuts in London. This time I went to the Dinerama street food market in Shoreditch to try doughnuts from You Doughnut. They specialize in the fresh handmade bitesize doughnuts which are a very common British seaside desserts.
I started at the Moorgate station from where I first walked to get some coffee from the Department of Coffee and Social Affairs in the Spitalfields market. When I tried their coffee more than a year ago, it was too fruity for me (too sour). However, they started to offer more nutty coffee and with oat milk (Oatly) recently, and since then I love to their coffee when I am around.
It was still summer in London, so I went for the Iced Latte with Oat Milk for £3.3. Fantastic.
After that, we walked to the Dinerama street food market which is only 10-minute walking distance from Spitalfields Market.
You Doughnuts stall opens on 2pm on Saturday when the entry to Dinerama is still for free. I came a little bit earlier to see people from Your Doughnuts preparing their fresh dough.
I went for the delicious combo of the Salted Popcorn Peanut Caramel with an extra scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. I’ve to the regular portion for £3 + scoop of Ice Cream for additional £2.5.
Long story short, these doughnuts are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The dough is entirely fresh, chewy, fried right in front of you and sprinkled with some cinnamon sugar. The Salted Popcorn Peanut Caramel is a superb combination of flavors, and I can only highly recommend finishing this combo with a delightful scoop of vanilla ice cream.
My wife and I enjoyed this hidden doughnuts gem a lot, and our only regret was that we didn’t go for the large portion straight away.
You doughnuts are definitely going to the top of my list of the best doughnuts in London!
