For the fourteenth episode of Indian Food In America, we visit Bhuna in Portland, Oregon, where we try Kashmiri Indian food for the very first time.
We had a delicious lunch of Kashmiri Palak Paneer, Kashmiri Tomato and Eggplant, Dum Aloo, Kashmiri Kohlrabi and Collard Greens, Naan, and a Masala Lemonade. The flavors were absolutely incredible.
The waitresses at Bhuna were so very nice and helpful. The owner, Deepak was also fantastic and explained to us what makes Kashmiri cuisine unique. We were surprised when he said they only use about 6 different spices, but they are all used in different quantities to produce different flavors for each dish! We loved how each dish had it’s own unique flavors, the food was fantastic!
