En 1972, Alvin C. Copeland Sr. ouvre un restaurant nommé
« Chicken on the Run » à La Nouvelle-Orléans, en Louisiane, où
il sert du poulet frit cuisiné selon la tradition du sud des États-
Unis. Après plusieurs mois de modestes performances, il ré- ouvre
le restaurant en le rebaptisant « POPEYES® ». Cette fois, il y
propose du poulet épicé d’inspiration Nouvelle-Orléans. C’est
immédiatement un succès qui ne se dément pas aujourd’hui.
La passion de la chaîne pour son héritage louisianais et sa cuisine
savoureuse et authentique a permis à Popeyes® de devenir
l’une des plus grandes marques de restauration rapide à base
de poulet. Elle possède aujourd’hui plus de 2 700 restaurants
à travers le monde.
Avec toutes les équipes de Lodarest SAS, franchisé de la marque

DE LA COMÉDIE.
Il aura fallu 40 ans à Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen pour enfin
franchir les frontières du pays de la gastronomie.
C’est à Montpellier, au cœur de la ville, sur la place de
la Comédie (et ce n’est pas une blague), qu’ ouvre le premier
restaurant de la marque en France. L’ établissement de 370 m2
sur 3 niveaux dispose d’une capacité de 90 places intérieures
et 100 de plus en terrasse. Cette ouverture permettra l’embauche
de 50 personnes dont un directeur et 3 managers.
Un lieu idéal, en plein centre, sur la place emblématique de la ville
et juste à côté du cinéma.
Dans le même temps, Lodarest SAS ouvrira un second restaurant
à Toulouse dans la commune de Roques sur Garonne.
Ce dernier sera un bâtiment indépendant disposant d’un drive.
Le design des restaurants reprend les codes couleur de
la marque américaine tout en s’adaptant aux standards français.
