Welcome to I AM MIYOSHI; Food, Culture, Travel!!!! There is nothing like street food. I found myself just wanting to go out in the city of LA in search of good company, great people, and delicious cuisine. That is exactly what I found.
Walking the streets of Koreatown, I found some of the best Mexican and El Salvadorian cuisines. Isn’t that wild that I walked the streets of Koreatown and found, Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, and Pupusas???
Los Angeles is a very diverse city and there are a plethora of cultures in one city. The best thing about street food is that you never know who you will meet and what conversations you will have. I found myself talking to locals about the community and the food. I shared laughter with regulars while learning about their cultures and love for the vendor they so often come too.
It was an honor to speak to Ruby and her son Jonathon about Pupusas and all that it takes to make them mouth watering good. Also, the local Mario who I could tell he has had his fair share of them. As the day continue, I tried all sorts of street food but I don’t give you nothing but the best. I found the Taco Spot to end the night and had the honor of meeting Chuy, & Israel. They had some music playing, little kids having a great time eating and dancing. This was adventure time for me because Israel influenced me to try some Tongue Tacos!!!!!! OMG I was not ready. But I have to say Chuy being a 7 year experienced cook seasoned that meat so well, it was actually pretty darng good. It was very soft and a little more chewy than chicken but the seasoning brought it home for me and I continued to grub.
They are know for have 9 different choices of meet and their prices are economical. Go and say hello to Israel and Chuy on Normandie and 3rd Street
I had a ball taveling the streets of LA for good stories and food. Everyone was so nice and the food filled me up. I will definitely be back to grub at Pupuseria Ruby and The Taco Spot..
