QP EATS AUSTIN: Be More Pacific Filipino Kitchen & Bar Restaurant in Austin, TX | Food Vlog Episode 11
Hello Everyone!
I’ve been eyeing Be More Pacific Filipino restaurant for a few months now. Although Vietnam is very close to the Philipines geographically, I’ve never tried authentic Filipino food before so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to give it a try!
I ordered:
👉🏼 Sisig Pork ($13)- A mixture of different pork meat from the face of the pig, cooked until crispy, tossed in mayonnaise, onions, and topped with a raw egg in a sizzling platter.
👉🏼 Shanghai Lumpia ($4.50/6 pcs)- Pork & shrimp meat mixture wrapped in lumpia shell and deep fried. Served with a homemade sweet chili sauce.
👉🏼 Chicken Adobo ($9.50)- Braised chicken leg in a tangy & savory marinade, served with caramelized red onions, boiled egg, green onion, on top of a bed of rice. I upgraded my rice to their S.C.C.L.B.F.R which is a coconut curry rice for an additional $5.50.
👉🏼 Tosilog ($9.25)- Sweet and savory caramelized pork pieces over a bed of garlic rice, topped with an over easy egg and green onions.
👉🏼 Halo Halo Dessert ($6 lunch portion)- A traditional and signature dessert in the Philipines comprised of shaved ice, Ube (purple yam) ice cream, homemade Ube Halaya (fresh mashed purple yam), coconut pulp and jellies, sweet red and white beans, flan, sweet corn, and evaporated milk. Halo Halo means “mix mix” so be sure to mix this all together for a delicious treat!
