I show you some food carts, a culture that is unique to Portland and one that I hope lives on for many years to come. Food trucks provide a much more intimate experience and it allows for the trying of many foods!
The vegan desserts are honestly so freeing as someone who avoids dairy in their diet. There are vegan donuts, pies and ice creams EVERYWHERE. The little Chickpea is definitely one of my favorites, the texture and flavors of ice cream stand out to me so much! And they use the leftover fiber from chickpeas after milking for their gluten free pastries and waffle cones. We stan minimal waste!
In general, what attracted me to the city was how much it incorporated art and nature into the cityscape. It is significantly less gray and concrete than most of the cities that I have personally visited.
I am sad to be moving away from Portland after such a short amount of time to explore it, but am very excited to start the next chapter of life. Goodbye Portland!
