A&Z #751 – Atlas vs El Paisa’s Fresh Mexican Street Tacos Challenge at El Paisa Fresh Mexican Grill in San Diego, California. On June 5, 2019, I began my 2019 Summer Adventures and stop #6 was the Southern California area so I could take on a few delicious food challenges all around Los Angeles and San Diego. For challenge #4, I attempted the 25 Mexican Street Tacos Challenge at El Paisa Fresh Mexican Grill in San Diego, California. I had just 30 short minutes to finish 25 street tacos made with corn tortillas, and the three meats I chose for variety were chicken, beef, and pork. I was trying to break the time record for the 25 tacos, and also break the 35 quantity record too, both held by my friend Raina Huang. The owner of El Paisa offered to donate $20 for each taco I ate to local Rady Children’s Hospital which was incredibly kind of him. There was no cap to this challenge regarding the total amount donated, so I went all out!! BIG thanks to ownership and staff for the great hospitality, and to all the people who came up to watch and meet us that day. Thanks for watching and we appreciate everyone in California supporting our efforts!!

El Paisa Fresh Mexican Grill’s 25 Street Taco Challenge (~$64):
– The base challenge is to finish 25 of their delicious street tacos.
– There are multiple meat options to choose from – pork, chicken, and/or beef.
– Each taco includes extra healthy veggie toppings plus guacamole, depending on tacos ordered.
– There is a 30 minute time limit to finish all 25 of them.
– Winners receive the meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and Wall of Fame!!
– If you are feeling especially brave, you can try to break the current 70 taco record.
– Ask the restaurant about prize(s) if you are interested in breaking the record.
