Last week I visited Portland and made it a mission to complete a 30-mile hike through Forest Park. Experienced hikers may find it easy, but oh boy, was my body sore after 15 miles! I divided out the hike into two days (about 15 miles each). It’s a race against sun as it sets around 5pm!
Navigation is straightforward. Signs mark every intersection. Just watch out for hikers when you’re scouting for a place to unload the golden water, which shouldn’t be too challenging. There were stretches of time I was alone for 1-2 hours. Expect more people near the trailheads and parking.
