We’re in London, England! In this 3 part series we’re hunting down the best British food in England’s capital. We take you on a huge British food tour of traditional British food from Sunday Roast and fish and chips to pies and Scotch eggs.
This is our second video from London and it’s all about the best British food. British food often gets a bad rap for being bland and unexciting. Nothing could be further from the truth! You just have to know where to find good British food in London. Luckily, we’ve done the hard yards for you.
We start at The Pie Room created by Executive Head Chef Calum Franklin. Calum has created a space devoted to perfecting the art of one of Britain’s most historical and beloved foods- the pie. We sample the hot pork pie and his award winning Scotch egg- both are incredible. Next up it’s a feast of classic fish and chips from a family run, old school fish and chippery in Westminster. We eat battered cod and chips doused in malt vinegar in the park. Then it’s off to The Guinea Grill- one of England’s most historic pubs for a couple of pints before we settle in for a Sunday roast of epic proportions at Blacklock- known for roasting their meat over open flames.
