This video is part of a new series I’m putting together celebrating Bangkok’s unsung Thai street food heroes and I couldn’t have picked a better place than Chee Chung Wo for my first episode!

Chee Chung Wo Braised Duck Noodle (จีจ้งหว่อ ร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวเป็ดตุ๋น วังบูรพา) serves up the best-braised buck noodles I’ve had in Bangkok. The 100-year old shophouse restaurant in Bangkok’s Chinatown is run by a legendary 90 year old Thai-Chinese cook that still makes egg noodles and wontons by hand every day!

The cooking is now being handled by his son Yai, who is really friendly and speaks great English, so you’ll have no trouble ordering if you don’t speak Thai. The noodle soup comes with an incredibly soft and tender duck drumstick, handmade pork wontons (I counted 6 in my bowl) and handmade egg noodles in the most incredible Chinese spiced soup imaginable, all for measly 60 baht, which is £1.55 or £1.98 at today’s exchange rate!

The family had a shop on Yaowarat Road 100 years ago which burnt down, then they moved to this shop 70 years ago making it one of the oldest places I’ve eaten at in Bangkok. If you are looking for an authentic Thai street food experience, this is it. I may get carried away sometimes but this is undoubtedly some of the best Thai street food I’ve had this year.

My apologies for the sound quality, I shot this video on my Huawei P20 Pro with no microphone as I hadn’t actually planned to do a video today!

Here is the address with a link to Google Maps below:
Phiraphong Alley, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200

The shop is open daily from 9 am – 5 pm but they told me to call ahead to check because some days the owner goes to hospital. The phone number is (+66) 02-222-5973. If you don’t speak Thai you can ask your hotel or guesthouse to call for you.

Begin A Food Truck Organization – Effective Food Truck Marketing!

Food truck owners, nevertheless, are typically restricted to a first impression. There were those who composed off New Orleans stating it would never return. To Western experience the volume of these locations can be amazing.

What is trans fat? It’s a chemically produced fat where hydrogen is included to vegetable oil through a process call hydrogenation. Is this a huge deal? You wager. It alters the molecular structure of the oil and like a magic wand, makes it less most likely to spoil. Plus it’s a less expensive option to animal fats like butter and lard. Its effect on food is much more notable. It helps food stay fresh longer, sprout a prolonged life span and produce a less greasy feel. End result? Merchants and producers use it in abundance to tantalize our palate – and we happily bite the bait!

One of the fun aspects of street sales is the street food. Schedule a hotdog cubicle or lemonade stand to share your sidewalk area, and your sales management team simply may gain the advantages in the type of increased sales.

I on the other hand waltzed over to The Place and had a Pastrami Melt. So take a grilled cheese with white American and slamming it together into a double decker with completely cooked, peppery pastrami and mustard and you’ve got one hell of a sandwich. The last number of bites we had were from Ahn Joo Korean Bar Grub. While a couple of good friends went for the Bacon Covered Rice Cylinders, we chose the Grilled Japanese Eggplant and Tofu Skewers- wonderful! And the report back on the bacon and rice was equally as appealing. I believe that was where I began feeling the sleepy feeling of the food coma beginning.

Simply across the street from the Buddha Tooth Antique Temple is the historical Maxwell Food Centre. It is most certainly one of the most well-known food centres in Singapore. Even celeb chef Anthony Bourdain did a segment of his tv travel program, No Bookings, here at Maxwell Centre in which he sampled chicken rice at the Tian Tian Chicken Rice Stall.

I know of another company that all they do is deep fry. They work a farmer’s market in Oregon, when a week for the entire season. They deep fry empanadas, sort of a meat and veggie pastry.

The mines were deserted during the War. After the war, the miners might not go back to work due to the fact that the mines became flooded. Yap Ah Loy, a powerful Chinese leader at that time convinced the miners to remain in Kuala Lumpur. He opened a tapioca mill in Petaling Street where roots from his farms were given be ground into flour. This is why even till today, Petaling Street is called ‘Chee Cheong Kai’ which suggests ‘starch factory street’ in the Cantonese dialect.

You can never go starving at Singapore’s Chinatown. The above 3 locations are probably the very best hawker centres to eat at in Singapore’s Chinatown. They all have lots of variety, and the prices for the meals there are rather inexpensive!

This rule is easy but you require to stick to it. Just like lots of pioneer towns, Kuala Lumpur was filled with a population that was mostly comprised of male labourers. There are some whose moms and dads would not operate at all.
