I recently teamed up with Miami Food Tours to showcase their Ultimate South Beach Food Tour. Omar took me around to a handful of delicious restaurants and he even showed me how to make the perfect Mojito!

Our first stop on our South Beach food tour was the Cafe of Books and Books on Lincoln Road. Here we tried some guacamole salsa, corn, hummus and fried yuca. The perfect appetizer to start our South Beach food tour.
Next we walked over to Omar’s restaurant Bella Cuba. First Omar showed me how to make the perfect mojito. Then we tried a delicious sampler plate that had a Cuban egg roll with Sofrito Pork, Corn leaf wrapped tamale topped with Ropa Vieja, Empanadas de Carne, Maduros and Croquetas de Jamon.
My favorites were the Cuban Egg Roll and the Tamale with Ropa Vieja, they were to die for! We then entered the kitchen and had the chef make us an incredible Cuban Sandwich, it was one of the best I have ever eaten!
Our next stop is Chalan on the beach, the first Peruvian restaurant on South Beach. Here we tried two typical Peruvian dishes, Ceviche de Pescado y Camaron and Lomo Salteado. I love ceviche and this one was so delicious, plus the green salsa was hot!! The Lomo Salteado was so juicy!
Next we headed for sweets! We hit up Andrix Cafe to try some Italian sweets and coffee. We had a Bombolone de Chocolate and Italian Drip Coffee. It was very sweet and it’s best to dip the bombolone into the coffee.
Lastly we visited The Frieze Ice Cream Factory. This Ice Cream shop is known for it’s all natural dairy free ice creams. We tried a handful of flavors and we also tried delicious sorbets that taste like real fruit. My favorite was the lychee sorbet, it was incredible!
