A&Z #794 – Atlas vs Primanti Brothers’ Classic Sandwich Challenge at the original Strip District location of Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Back in October 2019 after getting home from my 3-country Asia trip, I flew up to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania so I could try two food challenges in the area, and then head over towards Philadelphia, PA for a few more. For event #2, I traveled from Youngstown, Ohio back to Pittsburgh, PA so I could attempt the brand new Classic Sandwich Challenge at the original Strip District location of Primanti Brothers which was so delicious!! Primanti Brothers was founded back in 1933, so I was given 33 minutes to finish 5 of their classic sandwiches plus a 23oz IC Light beer produced by Iron City Brewing Company which also originated in Pittsburgh. For my 5 sandwiches, I got their turkey, capicola, pastrami, tuna salad, and famous Pitts-burger. The sandwiches were featured on Man vs Food Pittsburgh many years ago, and since then so many people have requested that I go there. BIG thanks to everyone with Primanti Brothers’ marketing team for the wonderful food and experience!! BIG thanks to everyone who came up to watch and meet me that night!! It was a very fun event!! Thanks also to all our friends around Pittsburgh and the rest of Pennsylvania watching our videos and supporting our efforts!! Primanti Brothers Classic Sandwich Challenge Man vs Food Pittsburgh ($50):
Primanti Brothers and my Further U team created this heavenly challenge which was so fun and delicious!! Sandwiches and beer!! Primanti Brothers was founded in 1933, so I was given 33 minutes to finish 5 of their classic sandwiches plus a 23oz IC Light Beer by Iron City Brewing Company. The five sandwiches I chose were turkey, capicola, pastrami, tuna salad, and their famous Pitts-burger. Each sandwich had fresh-baked bread with 4oz of meat plus coleslaw, tomatoes, Provolone cheese, and french fries. Winners all receive the meal free and a sweet t-shirt!! Please note that this challenge was created specially for me and it not yet open to the public. There is a possibility though if enough people show demand, so please follow Primanti Bros on social media and let them know you want to take the challenge too if you are interested!!
